About one year has happened since Deputy general de Gipuzkoa, Markel Olano, and the Mayor of Donostia, Odón Elorza, came to a coordination agreement to connect the localities of Donostia and Pasaia by means of a bidegorri and a pedestrian walk. In these moments it has finished the 1st phase of the boulevarización of Pasaia, which it includes bidegorri and more it spread for pedestrians. It is foreseen that in a future only one rail stays for the cars in every sense along Pasai Antxo.
But: what happens between Buenavista and Farrier? Right now we meet an urban divided highway with 4 rails for the cars, which makes the cycle and pedestrian mobility impossible with the due safety, while the administration neither has published yet a project that should give solution to this stretch nor speaks of concrete dates of execution.
What happens between Farrier and the bidegorri of Ategorrieta? One speaks about possible solutions, but the time happens and there is no concrete project, only words.
Now when they are finished the variant of Pasaia and the exit of Trintxerpe towards Irun, it is the moment to claim infrastructures for cyclists and pedestrians in these areas who more have suffered and they still suffer the consequences of an enormous traffic. It is time to enable inter-city axes that allow to use the bicycle as a way of habitual, sure, sustainable and healthy transport.
We do not forget other bidegorris also necessary that allow the communication between Donostia and the most next localities, and that's why we ask for projects, calendar and budget for the stretches Pasaia-Donostia, Lasarte-Donostia and Hernani-Donostia.
For all this, from Kalapie we invite you to take part in an avenging march in bike on Friday, the 29th of May at 19:00, going out from the Kiosk of the Avenue of Pasai Antxo up to Donostia to resemble Town hall and Delegation that remains great for doing and many town-planning errors of the past for amending.
